A Regency Mahogany Cabinet
A rare mahogany bowfront two door regency period mahogany cabinet strung through with ebony; the top's crossbanded in mahogany above a frieze drawer with false drawers to either side; below are a pair of cupboard doors inlaid with a diamond of well figured Cuban mahogany. The cabinet is raised on eyecatching lion paw feet. These lions feet along with stop fluted pilsters and ebony stringing are all features of neoclassical Regency and Federal furniture. An attractive faded colour is retained throughout.
