19th Century Giltwood Pier Glass Mirror
A 19th Century giltwood pier glass; the original mirror plate set within a carved giltwood frame; the frame is carved with a basket of fruit set within a border of flowers interlaced with a ribbon; with guilloche and bead and reel mouldings running around the edge of the frame. Probably of Scandinavian origin.
'When I bought this piece for the showrooms I knew exactly where it would hang, it has a presence and a quality that demands attention. Quite fitting for a mirror!' John Butterworth
